Vitamin D Study
Vitamin D is important for keeping our bones healthy and strong. We make vitamin D in our body when sunlight touches our skin. In the northern parts of US, in places such as Pittsburgh, the risk of vitamin D deficiency is
greater during winter because of lack of sunlight. This study will help us to find out the levels of vitamin D (serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D) associated
with vitamin D insufficiency (low vitamin D status) in school aged children living in the Pittsburgh area. more »
