NIH Grant Number 5P60MD00020-07

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

Many of the Center's activities during National Minority Health Month are appropriate for the entire family. We are asking that you participate in any of the following ways:
  • Browse our website and learn as much as you can about our activities during April and May
  • Spread the word, encouraging families and friends to attend events scheduled throughout the month of April and May
  • Volunteer. There are numerous activities that need your help
  • Host your own activity at your place of business, in your community or in your home during April - National Minority Health Month
  • Send CMH information about your health related activities during the month of April so that we can add them to our African American health promotion calendar. Send information to Ms. Karen Reddick, Project Director at nmhm@cmh.pitt.edu
  • Download the Minority Health Month 'toolkit' from our website. This toolkit will assist you in hosting your own minority health month activity
  • Encourage your faith-based choir or worship team to participate in our Kick-off musical concert. Call CMH to sign-up
  • Encourage your pastor to include a health message in one of the weekly sermons during the month of April and host a health fair after the service
  • Visit our website often for updates to our calendar and confirmation of location for our events
